Kimberly is not new to the chair, having been a licensed stylist since 2005. She’s an expert in color, cuts, and updos, believing that a simple change to your look can make a big change in your life. Kimberly has attended international beauty shows and received training from well-known products such as ColorProof, Redken, Sebastian, Wella, and is Keratin certified. A proud mom, she spends her off time with her daughter at sporting/school events or planning family activities. She has a great personality and will immediately put you at ease when you’re in her chair.
Amanda joined our staff in November, 2011 and quickly became part of the family. Her expertise in updos and braiding has been invaluable for wedding parties, pageants and formal events. She has been licensed for the past ten years, and has also attended numerous hair shows and classes including ColorProof, Sebastian, and Wella. She has participated in the Balayage program and has received her Eva Scrivo certification. Amanda has always been passionate about hair; she believes color can change the look of anyone and loves to help clients stay trendy with short cuts, including feminine razor cuts that always end with a smile.

Add to that her skill at men’s cuts and superior customer service, and you’re sure to leave with a great new look and a smile on your face. “Being able to see the joy in my clients’ eyes when I’m finished is what I love most about this business,” says Tasha. Peggy joins us with over twenty years of massage therapy experience. She completed her training in applied kinesiology studies in Herndon in 1994 and became nationally/board-certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork the same year. To maintain her credentials, Peggy has completed continuing education coursework several times over the years; this includes deep-tissue massage, sports massage, reflexology, and prenatal and infant massage. She is a Reiki master and incorporates energy, balancing and breath work into all her sessions.
Phleasha has returned to us as a licensed stylist. You may know her already since she started out as our receptionist, but her talent was being wasted on simply answering phones. In addition to completing her licensure she's taken several classes with well-known stylists such as Nick Arrojo (from What Not to Wear on TLC); blow-dry classes through the Regency Beauty Institute and the Dry Bar; and sessions for Sebastian, Wella, and Keratin. Color has become her passion and those who sit in her chair leave as her biggest fans. Specialty updos, uncontrollable hair, styling, and braiding are some of her strengths.
Meghann Mansour is our nail technician, licensed in Virginia as such. She's been working in salons for seventeen years, and with nails for thirteen. She has experience with the front desk, so you may see her there, but her specialty lies in nails—manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, and gel polish. She attended the Nails For You school in Falls Church and continually updates her skills with nail classes on certain product lines with CosmoProf. Meghann is a mother of five, married for fourteen years, with hobbies that include reading, going to movies, and knitting.
Joining the Blake and Company team in 2017, Miranda is our in house Master Esthetician. After starting cosmetology courses in high school she stuck with it and found her desire for the last seven years. With experience in resort spas, her customer service is exceptional. She is a licensed Master Esthetician and Cosmetologist, Certified Massage Therapist, and Lash Technician. Her specialty is eyelash extensions. Have you seen her work? It is amazing! Miranda’s extensive education includes studying medical massage therapy at Eastern Virginia Career College and Steiner Institute of Esthetics in Charlottesville, VA. She received her Master Estheticians from Nova Laser and Esthetics Training in Stafford, VA, and her Lash Certification in Sterling, VA. When asked what was something that she has done in her career that was a life-changing event, she responded, “Working with cancer patients at the resort spa in the past.” We are so happy to have her on board with the Blake and Company family.
Melanie is our newest stylist at Blake and Company and started in June 2017. She may be new to the Blake and Company family, but with 14 years of experience she is no rookie. She was a shampoo assistant before she attended cosmetology school but even before then she knew hair was something she always wanted to do. She has taken courses at Graham Webb Academy and Paul Mitchell—including specialty lessons in Balayage and ombre coloring techniques. Melanie is also certified in waxing and Olaplex treatments. In her free time she loves being outdoors, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. Her passion is hair and giving you what your hair needs. We are excited to welcome Melanie and have her with us to fulfill her passion.
Welcome Andrew to the Blake and Company family! Andrew graduated from the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in 2012. He is Virginia State Certified and Licensed for Massage Therapy. Being an athlete himself, playing ice hockey three to five times a week, he understands the importance of regular massages and how muscles work. His specialties include sports, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages, to name a few. After six years of experience in the field with five of those at the same job in Gainesville, he then decided to join our wonderful growing family. Here are some words from a client of Andrew’s: “Andrew is by far the best therapist I have ever had! He has been treating my back problems for the past several years and I am grateful to have access to his care. He has great knowledge of sports injuries and keeps my tight muscles moving. I highly recommend him!” Come in, meet Andrew, and let him work his magic on your muscles.
